  As a JW Did other Witnesses Annoy you by Condemning " Worldly Music" ?

  i know i got bothered by all the self righteous music police who would condemn me or others for our awesome record collections from early years as a teenager .

  several experiences were really quite odd .

  one brother came up to me saying i was wrong to listen to the moody blues " nights in white satin "!

  It was a big thing in the 70's and 80's with debasing music talks and hints about what we should and shouldn't listen to. I generally ignored it and still listened to what I wanted to. Got Angel witch on now,great metal band,with a bit of Motorhead and girlschool to follow.

  some here would like to blame his jw upbringing.. being a exjw, do you have trouble making and/or keeping friends?.

  I have found I have made good friends since I left the Bruvs,I have made friends in music,fellow guitarists and fans. They are good people and would do anything for you. I haven't been in contact with any of my friends from the cong except in dreams which is a bit wierd.

  I used to go away to give talks,we went to a cong in the heart of Wales,the bro assigned to feed us took us 3/4 journey to his caravan in Barmouth then gave us,a family of 4,jam sandwiches. Having said that,he was a nice old bloke,bit like cleggy from last of the summer wine tv programme.

  We used to get petrol expenses as well,any one else get that?

  Mines from a comedy sketch by the 2 ronnies. You tube links never seem to work for me on here so just go to you tube and search Four Candles,then you'll see it. I put a few into a box and pulled one out at random,and the result is four candles.
